If ‘hope’ has a face …

If hope has a face it belongs to Volodymyr Zelenskyj.

One man – who not only brings light and hope to a country with 44 million souls – but to the whole world. Comedian, lawyer, TV producer, actor, son, friend, husband, dad, patriot, fellow human being, strong, strong, strong … a warm communicator and leader.

He is one man. He represents the future. With his age, his energy and his attitude,

Zelenskyj shows us what today’s leadership is about – he encourages, motivates , inspires and challenges. His team and his people. And he challenges his aggressor in an admirable way. What we are witnessing in Ukraine today is a great example of a nation coming together in the name of making the impossible possible. By standing side by side – together!

War is pain. Our words, our endless need to predict the future – to understand – seem hopeless and maybe even provocative. At the other end of this invation, my hope is that we become a more tolerant and cooperating kind of human beings. The kind that support each other, trust and accept each other, honor each other, even shine for each other, so that others can shine too. The new consciousness that is emerging during this demanding time in history is not rooted in one single individual, but on us as peoples – unified as one mind and one heart, pushing the limits of possibility.

The Ukranian people are doers – with an impressive strength. Observing beautiful people coming together, fighting for their independence, their rights, their country, their future … and a new common consciousness emerges. Let’s all use what we are witnessing to do good things.

I will give my donation – send my love –  and pray that Zelenskyj, ‘the face of hope’ and his people will endure the suffering, prevail – and get what’s rightfully theirs.

Lovingly,
Hanne♥️🌹

I Am Ukraine

Peace doesn’t come through prayers,
Peace comes through responsible action.
When the invader stomps on innocent lives,
Not choosing a side is a consent to oppression.
Ask us for water, we won’t let you go unfed,
But do not mistake our gentleness as fear.
If you so much as lay a finger on our home,
We’ll defend it with our blood, sweat ‘n tears.
We ain’t no coward to selfishly seek security,
When our land is being ransacked by raccoons.
When the lives of our loved ones are at stake,
We’ll break but never bend to oligarchical buffoons.
The love of our families is what keeps us breathing.
To preserve their smiles, we shall happily die fighting.”
